Practical Guidance, Real Results
Leadership transitions are rarely just operational. They are identity moments disguised as job changes. But the coaching category too often flattens that moment into generic transformation language or treats it like a performance gap waiting to be closed.
The real gap is that senior leaders are being asked to operate at a new altitude before they fully know who they need to become inside it, and what they need is not another tool, but someone who can help them sort what is actually happening and find their footing within it.
That is where I do my best work.
Primary Services
Executive Transition Coaching
For experienced leaders stepping into—or stepping away from—what comes next.
A transition might be a promotion, a lateral move, a new organization, or a significant expansion of responsibility. It might also mean leaving a senior position, changing direction, or creating something entirely new.
We begin with where you are, what has shifted, and what matters now. There is no fixed curriculum or prescribed arc. I follow what is most useful to you in the moment, listening for patterns, assumptions, and possibilities that may not yet be clear.
The goal isn’t to fit you into someone else’s model of leadership. It’s to help you reconnect with what you already know, see the situation more clearly, and find your own way through it.
Leadership Team Coaching
When the challenge is no longer one leader’s to solve alone.
Team coaching often begins because a senior leader sees a dynamic that needs attention. Sometimes that leader is already a coaching client. Sometimes they are sponsoring coaching for a team they lead, support, or are responsible for developing.
The format might include team coaching conversations, facilitated working sessions, or focused training, depending on what the team needs.
Together, we look at what is actually happening within the team: communication patterns, decision-making, relationships, unspoken tensions, or the gap between individual capability and collective effectiveness.
The goal is not simply a better-functioning team. It is a team that can see and work with its own dynamics more effectively.
Coach Education and Mentor Coaching
For coaches who want to deepen their practice.
I provide mentor coaching primarily for coaches working toward the ICF ACC or PCC credential. I also work with experienced coaches who want to sharpen their practice, deepen their understanding of the competencies, or have another experienced coach listen closely to their work.
Mentor coaching may include reviewing and assessing coaching recordings, exploring the choices behind the coaching, and identifying opportunities to strengthen the coach’s practice.
I also serve as a mentor coach, recording assessor, and lab leader within coach education programs.
The focus is practical and developmental, grounded in the coach’s own practice rather than a prescribed formula for coaching.
How the work unfolds
-
I work from what the leader is actually navigating. I listen for the pattern. I listen for what is underneath it.
-
The presenting issue matters, but it is rarely the whole story. I listen for what is underneath it, what may be missing, and what is beginning to emerge.
-
Naming what is happening is only the beginning. The value of the work is in what becomes possible from there—a decision, a conversation, a different perspective, a shift in how you show up, or sometimes the clarity to stop doing something that no longer serves you.
-
Leadership Circle Profile, EQ-i, and Hogan can offer useful perspective when the moment calls for it. The data is a starting point—not the answer. The real work is exploring what you see and what it means for you.
