Why Mary?

When the map no longer matches the terrain, you don't need another formula.

I bring the experience, perspective, and trained ear to help you make sense of what has changed—and I'll be there with you as you find your way through it.

What I Bring

Complex Leadership Experience

I've worked across government, nonprofit, private sector, boards, health IT, public health, environmental policy, business development, and organizational leadership. Leaders don't operate in generic systems. They operate inside particular cultures, relationships, pressures, politics, and histories. I can understand the room quickly because I've stood in versions of it before.

Serious Coaching Craft

I take the craft of coaching seriously. My practice is grounded in professional training, rigorous standards, and years of experience. I hold the PCC credential through the International Coaching Federation and an Advanced Certificate in Team Coaching, with training in Leadership Circle Profile, EQ-i, Hogan, and coach assessment and development.

Leadership at Scale

I've led multi-million-dollar programs and large, cross-functional teams in environments where the answers weren't always obvious and people were looking to the leader to make sense of what came next. I know the realities of leadership under pressure—not just the theory.

A Systems Perspective

There is no universal formula for leading well. What works in one organization, role, or moment may not work in another. I bring experience across sectors and systems so we can consider not just you as a leader, but the environment in which you are leading.

A Trained Ear

As a professional singer, I've spent years learning to listen—to tone, breath, phrasing, rhythm, energy, and the subtle shifts that can change what we hear. That same attention shapes my coaching. I notice what is said, what shifts, and what may not yet have been named.

Trusted by Leaders

Leaders come back when they reach another inflection point. They continue conversations after formal engagements end, and they refer people they know who are facing a similar moment. To me, that's one of the clearest signs that the work has been useful and the coaching relationship has been meaningful.

I understand the terrain. And I'll be there with you as you find your way through it.
